Manual lymphatic massage is a form of physical therapy. Their field of use is wide-ranging. It is primarily used as a therapy to reduce edema and venous congestion in edematous areas of the body such as the head and neck, trunk and limbs (arms and legs), which may occur after trauma or surgery. This therapy is especially often prescribed after tumor treatment or removal of lymph nodes. (Source: https://www.sfml.ch/content/infos-ueber-lymphdrainage/buch-tipps/)
