Fascial therapy for adults and infants (according to Dr. Stephen Typaldos - fascial distortion model therapy)

FDM is a new and effective method for treating musculoskeletal pain. The method developed by the American emergency physician, Steven Typaldos D.O. is becoming increasingly popular. Many diseases of the locomotor system that were previously difficult to treat or heal only very slowly can significantly speed up recovery with the help of FDM. This knowledge is currently being used very successfully in elite sports (Source: https://www.ifdmo.com/de/information/was-ist-fdm).

When treating infants/children with FDM, we intensively analyze the cranial diseases of infants and the complex pains of the musculoskeletal system of children, after which we select the treatment options and implement them. This method is the result of Frank Römer's many years of experience in the field of osteopathy and FDM for babies and children. Common problems such as KISS syndrome, colic, crying children, perceptual disturbances, cranial asymmetry, predilection postures, concentration disorders, indigestion, hyperactivity and motor or language developmental delays are diagnosed and treated according to the fascia distortion model. Systematic early diagnosis and holistic treatment of posture and movement disorders in infants and children usually allows for a significant alleviation of the disorders and, ideally, a cure. Treatment of children and infants according to the principles of FDM aims to prevent long-term effects or developmental disorders. It is important to recognize and compensate for dysfunctions, which may be caused by genetic inheritance, the unfavorable position of the child in the womb, the mother's need for medication during pregnancy, accidents during pregnancy or a problematic birth process (source: https://www.acumax-kurse.ch/kurse/therapie/fascia-distortions-model-s%C3%A4uglingen-kids-course).
