Pain therapies

FDM is a new and effective method for treating pain in the musculoskeletal system. Developed by the American emergency physician Steven Typaldos, D.O., this method is enjoying ever-increasing popularity. Many musculoskeletal conditions that were previously difficult to treat or healed very slowly can have their recovery significantly accelerated through FDM. This knowledge is currently being used very successfully in elite professional sports.

The McKenzie Method® - Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT) is an internationally recognized method for the diagnosis and treatment of spine and limb pain. It was developed by New Zealand physiotherapist Robin McKenzie. They have been used by professionals worldwide for more than 30 years. MDT therapists are trained to examine and diagnose all areas of the musculoskeletal system. This means that the MDT examination can also be useful in the case of spinal complaints, as well as joint or muscle problems. The MDT philosophy includes education and active patient participation. Therapists and patients worldwide trust MDT for back, neck and limb problems. This method is one of the most researched systems in the field of physiotherapy treatment methods. An important part is the initial examination - a safe and reliable way to establish an accurate diagnosis. Only then will the examiner and the patient develop a suitable treatment plan together (source: https://de.mckenzieinstitute.org/f%C3%BCr-patienten/was-ist-die-mckenzie-methode/).

Brian Mulligan's concept of mobilization movement (MWMS) in the limbs and Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glides (SNAGS) in the spine is the result of a long-term development process, which works by simultaneously applying the complementary technique used by the therapist and the active physiological movement generated by the patient. During Mulligan manual therapy, we use painless manual mobilization techniques, which enable pain-free movement and therapeutic load on the musculoskeletal system. Both the doctor and the patient can quickly assess its effectiveness, as it can immediately eliminate painful functional limitations. When the techniques are given, an immediate improvement in pain, range of motion and function can be observed during and after the application of the technique. If there is no immediate improvement, the technique must be modified to achieve pain-free operation or is currently not specified (source: https://mulliganconceptapp.com/allgemeine-informationen/grundsaetze-des-mulligankonzepts/?lang=de).

Cupping is one of the oldest remedies known to mankind. Cupping stimulates blood circulation, aids in cleansing and detoxification, stimulates self-healing powers, relieves muscle tension and blockages, and relieves pain (source:https://www.acumax-kurse.ch/kurse/therapie/schr%C3%B6pftherapie).
